Kongsberg Expands Maintenance Agreement for AgustaWestland Airframes
Kongsberg Defence Systems has agreed to extend and increase the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of components for AgustaWestland airframes including the NH90 helicopter. The protocol, signed by the two companies last week, will allow the transfer of technology and advanced testing equipment to Norway-based Kongsberg that will enable functional testing of AgustaWestland gear boxes.

This agreement will help AgustaWestland meet Industrial Participation requirements in Norway for the NH90, and will also support the AW101 Norwegian All-Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH) contract, which will supply 16 AW101 SAR helicopters to the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
